About Us
FINDING PINDORAMA is a dream born out of a nightmare.
Our founder calls himself an "American-in-Exile." While he has always retained a strong passion and deep love of his homeland in the Pacific Northwest of the United States of America, following various events in 2025 that made the deterioration of the state of the democracy and personal freedom in that country plain to him, he determined he could no longer be assured of his family's safety there. He fled the country in a state of emotional and mental despair and turmoil.
However, it continues to hold true that the darkest of nights will precede the most breathtaking and beautiful sunrises.

In his second home, his new, chosen home of Brasil, he found the tranquillity, joy, and most importantly – relief – that he was in such dire need of. For this reason he remains one of the foremost proponents of Brasil, its constitution, its democracy, and most of all, its people.

It was following this extreme upheaval and change, amidst the incredible tenderness and warmth with which his Brasilian friends - his family - embraced him, that he had a most wonderful thought:

What if I could offer this same tenderness, this same refuge, to others? To those who need it most?
​
What if I could embrace refugees not just from North America, but from the whole world, to offer the possibility of a new life, a free life?

And thus FINDING PINDORAMA was born.
​
Here, we strive to welcome every person home. In the tradition of our home country, we emphasize the importance of doing so a la fila preferencial – which is to say, while we welcome all, we aim to focus first on those in most dire need. We view this as not just compassionate but also as logical, much like it makes sense to first offer a lifesaver to those who cannot swim before offering one to those who can. And whether that means a trans teenager from Texas, a federal researcher who was expelled via "Doge" from their agency, or perhaps an Afghani apostate or atheist,
we aim to help everyone.
